| Properties: | Sultaniye is a white seedless type of grape. It is the most important table grape and has the widest plantation area world-wide. This type is rather used as table grape or for dried grape production. It is grown on an area of nearly 440.000 hectares throughout the world. Approximately a quarter of this area is in Turkey. The thickness of the skin of this grape provides protection against grey mold. Thus, the grape can ripen for a longer time and gains convenience for transport. Especially transportability is an important factor in the field of table grapes.
